The 2009 Festival, "The Jews in America”, explored the American Jewish experience through contemporary composers' takes on Eastern European and spiritual sources, as well as the Andy Statman Trio's fusion of klezmer, bluegrass, and jazz. This season also marked the 50th anniversary of Ernest Bloch's death in a special tribute of works from the American composer's 'Jewish Cycle'.
